Age 9 with ASPCA Cat Sparkles and Dog Butterscotch
It all began at the age of 7 when my parents took me to see a Paddington the Bear Puppet Show at a local Springfield, Pennsylvania theater. Very wisely, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) had set up their table and animals in the entry way. I, along with many other children, picked up their new family member the next day at the ASPCA office. From that moment forward, I was hooked. First it was a cat, then a dog, then a duck, a few fish and a bunny. I tried (and cried) for a pony, as many little girls do, but had to settle for horseback riding lessons and a few weeks at Horse Camp each summer.

Now that I am older, my love for animals and nature has only grown stronger and I can appreciate even more the difference pets make in people’s lives. They come into our lives offering unconditional love, companionship and much entertainment! They quickly take on our energy and become a big part of our lives.
Inspired by people’s love for their animals, adventure and giving, we are very excited to bring you Spiritual Whimsy.
